“The City that Jazz Built,” one of my four entries, was awarded third place in the collage category at GAC’s AIR Festival. The work was beautifully framed by Point Arena’s own, Anna Dobbins.

The August 14-16 Annual Art in the Redwoods Festival encourages submissions from all over Northern California and showcases between 3-400 works of art. This is my fourth award since I first submitted work. In 2000 I received both a second place and an honorable mention in the Collage category and two years ago received the Art Center’s prestigious President’s award for a mixed media submission.
